Formula Ford Festival Winner Wayne Boyd to make Rallycross Debut!
Formula Ford star Wayne Boyd will make his Rallycross debut at Mondello Park on the 22nd November when he competes in the Patch Tyre Equipment/Naas Court Hotel Fiesta Championship at the wheel of the celebrity car.
The series, for standard 1.25 litre Zetec engined Ford Fiestas, has been a huge success as a motor racing class and has now been introduced as a budget Rallycross class. Run by the Irish Rallycross Championship, the class is is managed by Leo Nulty Promotions and boasts cash prizes for the top three in the A final. Superbike Champion Brian McCormack drove the car at the opening round and stunned the regulars by taking three heat wins on his debut!
Wayne Boyd, from Templepatrick in Northern Ireland, is a former British Formula Ford champion and recently won the prestigious Formula Ford Festival in Brands Hatch, beating a world class field in the process.
