Calling all Rally Competitors!!

You can be a part of the action on what promises to be a fantastic weekend of Irish Rallying and Motorsport!

But please note the following message from the Rally Clerk of the Course, John Carroll.

“Just like recent events, where entries are in a steady decline, we are preparing for a difficult road ahead. Despite the mammoth effort from club members and others involved in the event, we are faced with a major rumour campaign amongst the motorsport fraternity, be that competitors or others, that the event will not run. Be assured, we will continue to push forward to protect motorsport.

Today we have 40 entries and we need the support of competitors to enter with their full commitment that they will be on the start line in Trim on July 2nd. No Motor Club wishes to be the first club to fail to run their rally in 2017 because of the Insurance Crisis or rumour.

We call on all past ALMC competitors to come out and support us, to do ONE MORE EVENT to ensure there is a future for Irish Motorsport”

Entries will be open until the 2nd July and, as always, the ALMC Motor Club promises you a warm welcome, three very challenging Stages, short Road mileage, spacious Service area, as well as readily available and reasonably priced accommodation, all in a very central, accessible part of the country.

YOU CAN BE PART OF IT!

See www.almc.ie for all the details you need to enter the only Stages Rally in the North East of Ireland!

With entries now over the 40 mark, and final preparations being made for their Stages Rally on 2nd July, ALMC Motor Club are looking forward to welcoming Competitors and visitors from all over Ireland and the UK to the beautiful town of Trim in County Meath for what promises to be a fantastic weekend of Motorsport. Club members are busy making final arrangements for what they expect to be a great weekend on the Special Stages all based in the area around Trim.

Based at the now regular Rally HQ at the Castle Arch Hotel in Trim, and with three superb and challenging Special Stages prepared for the action, the hard working members of ALMC Motor Club now look forward to more entries arriving in the next two weeks that will make the Rally one not to be missed.

As in previous years, the spacious facilities of the Oaktree Business Park have been made available to the Motor Club for Sunday Service area, and the Business park will also host pre-event Scrutiny on the evening before the Rally. The Motor Club are very grateful to the owners of the Business Park for their generous permission to allow its use for the Rally weekend.

As always, the ALMC Stages Rally appeals to competitors of every level, from the locally based and national level Clubman, in Ford Escorts and Honda Civics, to Mitsubishi Evolutions, Ford Fiesta R2’s and Skoda Fabia’s, to Subaru Impreza World Rally Cars. For the first time, this year’s ALMC Stages Rally is a round of the Mintex British Historic Rally Championship, and several entries have already been received for the Rally from competitors in the UK.

Some pristine, historic and rarely seen Rally machinery will be competing on the 2nd July Rally and as always in the Historic classes, the level of competition will be extremely high.
Included in this year’s entry will be some classic Ford Escort RS1600 and RS1800 models, in absolutely pristine condition, some of which will be making rare appearance on Irish Tarmac Stages.

Already included in the list of entries received are Steve Wood (Subaru S10 WRC), Ian Barrett (Darrian T90 GTR), Liam Bowhan (Toyota Starlet) and among many local drivers taking part, Tom Holton (Honda Civic), Gary McNamee (Honda Civic) and Stephen Cummins (Honda Civic). Why not join the list of entrants for great stages on July 2nd!
