It’s almost time for the beginning of the most exciting season yet of the Masters Superbike Championship and to get it all going we’ve added a Motorcycle Show to our first event.
The 2018 Championship will see a raft of changes as the series welcomes Dunlop as its new title sponsor, and offers spectators the best opening event in its history. The Masters Motorcycle Show will be staged in the Mondello Park paddock on Sunday March 25th, the second day of the season opener and the admission to the show will be included in the ticket price for the Masters.
DUNLOP MASTERS SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP 2018
The organisers of the Dunlop Masters Superbike Championship have really levelled the playing field for all competitors this season with the introduction of a Dunlop control tyre. With each rider restricted to three tyres per weekend in Superbike and Supersport and reduced prices from Dunlop, the feature classes at the Masters should be more economical to compete in and therefore more hotly contested than ever.
The twenty one race series kicks off at Mondello Park’s National Track on March 24th & 25th before tackling a seven event championship that runs through until the end of September. Events are spread out roughly one month apart and the championship will race on the National Track at four events and on the International Track at the remaining three.
At all events the championship will include a full support programme with the Principal Insurance Pre-Injection class and the Twins class as the main supporting races.
The full calendar is;
Rounds 1-3 – March 24th & 25th – National Track
Rounds 4 – 6 – April 28th & 29th – National Track
Rounds 7 – 9 – May 26th & 27th – International Track
Rounds 10 – 12 – June 16th & 17th – International Track
Rounds 13 – 15 – Aug 4th & 5th – National Track
Rounds 16 – 18 – Aug 25th & 26th – International Track
Rounds 19 – 21 – Sept 29th & 30th – National Track
