First edition of TURKMEN Desert Race gets underway

| The adventure has already begun for the participants of the TURKMEN DESERT RACE, first edition.
The first vehicles were loaded in Pau (West of France), then in Manosque (South of France) and finally in Saint Etienne (Middle East of France) where Sunday, were held “pre-checks” before the departure of vehicles. It was then in Nuremberg (Germany) and then Warsaw (Poland) that the caravan went to load other competitors. In total no less than 13 trucks dedicated to the organization are responsible for the transport of racing vehicles, continuing their journey through Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to reach the beautiful country of Turkmenistan. |
| For the first edition of TURKMEN DESERT RACE, no less than 83 crews will start from Amul on September 11th.
This colorful race consisting of a caravan of 220 vehicles and 520 persons, will cross Turkmenistan from East to West through the legendary Karakum desert. During this race, the amateurs will have the pleasure to stay on the bivouac with “big names” of Cross Country Rally world. It is therefore an exceptional race that awaits the competitors from 11 to 15 September. |
