Alfa Romeo is taking its performance credentials into millions of British homes with its sponsorship of Sky Sports F1, the leading channel for Formula 1.

Sky Sports F1’s acclaimed race weekend coverage will see idents featuring models from Alfa Romeo’s award-winning range of cars shown before, during and after every practice, qualifying and live race across the season. This also includes ‘Welcome to the Weekend’, ‘F1 Legends’ and GP2 & GP3 races.

The partnership commences with Sky Sports F1at the start of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend on the 26th April. The idents shown around the coverage perfectly illustrates the characteristic Italian style, racing heritage and performance of Alfa Romeo.

“Alfa Romeo’s heritage is based firmly in racing and the passion to compete, so this sponsorship agreement is a perfect fit with the Alfa Romeo Racing team now back in Formula 1,” says Andrew Tracey, Marketing Director, Alfa Romeo UK. “The Sky Sports F1coverage will help to reaffirm the connection between our road cars and the race track, bringing the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models to the attention of passionate motor racing fans.”

”As the dedicated home of Formula 1 in the UK, partnering with Alfa Romeo with their racing heritage is the perfect fit. Together with co-sponsors Fair FX we all look forward to another exciting season on and off the track” Says Rachel Bristow, Director of Partnerships Sky Media

Sky Sports F1is the UK’s official channel for Formula 1 coverage for all practice, qualifying and races shown live.

The Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio
The Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models are Alfa Romeo’s most powerful cars ever created for road use thanks to their 510hp, 600Nm Bi-Turbo V6 petrol engine, which can achieve a top speed of 171mph in the Giulia and 176mph in the Stelvio. The Giulia moves from zero to 62mph in a mere 3.9 seconds, while the Stelvio arrives there in just 3.8 seconds.

The Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio models feature advanced technology designed to maximise dynamic performance, such as Alfa Chassis Domain Control, Alfa D.N.A. Pro selector with Race mode and four wheel drive combined with Alfa active torque vectoring on the Stelvio.

The Alfa Romeo brand
Since its founding in Milan, Italy, in 1910, Alfa Romeo has designed and crafted some of the most stylish and exclusive cars in automotive history. That tradition lives on today as Alfa Romeo continues to take a unique and innovative approach to designing automobiles.

In every Alfa Romeo, technology and passion converge to produce a true work of art – every detail essential, every design the perfect harmony between beauty and purpose, engineering and emotion. Today, Alfa Romeo is a true showcase of the Group’s best resources, talent and technological know-how. First with the Giulia and Stelvio, and more recently with the Tonale, Alfa Romeo has created models that capture the pure La meccanica delle emozioni spirit and of the brand.

After more than 30 years of absence from Formula 1, the brand announced its return to the sport in 2018 and is now Title Sponsor of Alfa Romeo Racing.
