Netflix confirms that Formula 1: Drive to Survive returns for a second series
The dynamic series will return with another nine parts in 2020 following the high-stakes and adrenaline fuelled world of this multi-billion-dollar business.
This year for the first time, all 10 teams including Mercedes AMG and Scuderia Ferrari will join the line-up as they all battle it out for victory in the greatest racing series in the world.
The series will follow teams at every race within the 2019 F1 calendar, beginning in Australia and travelling around the world; from Hungary to Singapore, Brazil to Mexico, before culminating in the final fight of the season in Abu Dhabi.
Only 20 drivers get to compete in the world’s fastest sport and with the youngest driver line up ever hitting the grid for the 2019 season, the pressure is already mounting. With multiple drivers’ contracts up for renewal at the end of the year, and none of them looking to go without a fight, this season looks to be one of the most explosive yet.
The series will once more go behind the scenes with the drivers, team principals and owners, to gain a unique and raw perspective on their lives both on and off the track and the tension and the glamour of the sport.
This series is executive-produced by Academy-Award winner James Gay Rees (Senna) and Paul Martin for Box to Box Films.
