  • The Museum in Arese reopens its doors to the public on 24 June, on the occasion of the Brand’s 110th anniversary.
  • Opening in all safety: the Museum has been equipped to welcome the public with a series of safety measures aimed at safeguarding the health of guests and staff.
  • On this historical date, and for the first time ever, Alfa Romeo will offer visitors the opportunity to access the museum storage rooms, which host the hidden Collection, an authentic treasure: more than 150 cars, engines, models and much more.
  • Visitors will be able to parade their Alfa Romeo on the museum’s internal track and the programme for the days of the festivities will offer several conferences and special events.
  • On display the new Giulia GTA, the iconic limited edition conceived for the 110th anniversary.
  • Hours of operation will be temporarily changed: to celebrate the anniversary, the museum will be open every day from Wednesday, 24 June to Sunday, 28 June; after 28 June, the museum will be open on weekends.

The Alfa Romeo Museum will soon reopen to the public and it has chosen a very special date to do so: June 24th, the day on which the Brand will celebrate its 110th anniversary. The festivities for the Biscione’s anniversary will take place in Arese and will continue during the following days as well. On the occasion of this important celebration, the Museum will remain open during its usual hours, from 10am to 6pm every day until Sunday 28 June. From the following week, the Museum’s opening hours will be temporarily changed and visitors will be allowed on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Museum has a very special surprise in store for clubs and enthusiasts: for the first time ever, visitors will have the opportunity to see the permanent collection as well as certain areas that have previously remained closed to the public and were not included in the museum itinerary: the two floors of the former Management Centre in Arese where the Collection is stored.  Referred to as the “backstage of the Museum,” the Collection includes the following:

  • An additional 150 vehicles
  • Dozens of automotive, aeronautical and marine engines
  • Hundreds of models, trophies, artworks, accessories
  • A racing motorboat and much more

All these materials, which are normally not on display, constitute an extraordinary fuel tank for the Museum to organise its theme-based temporary exhibitions, and are a unique occasion for Alfa Romeo to participate in external events and exhibitions of all kinds. The Collection can be visited only upon reservation, in groups of 10 people at most, with a guided tour.
For information and booking: collezione@museoalfaromeo.com
On Wednesday 24 June and during the weekend, Alfa enthusiasts are all cordially invited to parade their Alfa Romeos on the Museum’s internal track. To avoid large crowds, the Museum kindly asks participants to confirm their participation ahead of time by writing to: info@museoalfaromeo.com
Moreover, on this special anniversary, the new Giulia GTA – the iconic limited edition conceived for the 110th anniversary of the Brand – will be present in Arese, and starting from June 24th, the Alfa Romeo Museum will be hosting exclusive private previews for the customers.
During the weekend, the Museum is also planning Backstage conferences dedicated to in-depth presentations of the less known chapters of Alfa Romeo’s history: the two appointments, which were initially scheduled for March and April and were cancelled due to the sanitary emergency, have been rescheduled for Saturday, 27 June (Spider Monoposto concept, the extreme version of the 916) and Sunday, 28 June (164 Q4, section of the four-wheel-drive sedan). Both appointments will take place in the Giulia room at 3 p.m. The conferences are included in the entrance ticket, but booking is required at: info@museoalfaromeo.com
The Alfa Romeo Museum – organised into three main thematic areas (Timeline, which represents its industrial continuity; Bellezza (Beauty), which combines style, design and lifestyle; Velocità (Speed), a synthesis of technology, sportiness and driving pleasure) – will show itself in a partially renewed form as it reopens. Some sections have been revisited, such as the one dedicated to the Avio production, with the new exhibition of the “Angelo dei bimbi” (Children’s Angel), the Sai Ambrosini 1001 Grifo aircraft that starred in a charitable raid on the route Milan-Buenos Aires.
Inaugurated in 1976 and entirely rebuilt and refurbished in 2015, the Alfa Romeo Museum has been equipped to welcome the public with a series of safety measures aimed at safeguarding the health of guests and staff. At the entrance, all guests will be thermoscanned to check their temperature, and in case it should be higher than normal, they will be kindly asked to reschedule their visit for a later date. The use of face masks will be mandatory and specific horizontal signs will remind visitors to respect the rules of social distancing and to follow an itinerary that separates guests entering the exhibition from those exiting. Furthermore, priority will be given to digital payments, both at the Museum’s ticket office and at the Alfa Romeo Store.
The Museum stretches over a surface of more than 6 thousand m2 and has wide outdoor areas, which can guarantee sufficient space to ensure that visitors and staff can keep the necessary interpersonal distances. In case of particularly high traffic, the entrance could be temporarily closed to avoid large gatherings. Online booking is not required.
However, guided tours of the Museum or of the Collection need to be booked ahead of time and are organised in groups of maximum 10 people. Also, booking is mandatory for any guest wishing to participate in one or several of the activities planned by the Museum, such as the live screenings of Formula 1 GPs (first appointment on Sunday, 5 July for the Austrian GP) and Backstage conferences: access will be granted until the maximum number of participants has been reached.
All information regarding our event calendar is available on www.museoalfaromeo.com
