It will be a thrilling weekend for Formula 4 in Italy and Great Britain. At the Autodromo Nazionale Monza more than 40 single-seaters, powered by Abarth engine, will take to the track for the penultimate round of the season with Andrea Kimi Antonelli (ITA – Prema Racing) who will have the first match point to win the Italian series. His team-mate Rafael Camara (BRA – Prema Racing), driver of the Ferrari Driver Academy, and Irishman Alex Dunne (IRL – US Racing), leader of the British series who will have to keep his eyes on the Brands Hatch standings without being able to fight head-to-head with Oliver Gray (GBR – Carlin), will be contenders for the lead. Dunne, in the British F4 Championship, has a 99-point lead, but the results of the Silverstone race are not yet final after Carlin’s appeal, which could hand Gray back the Race 1 victory. Dunne will, therefore, be a remote spectator, while Ugo Ugochukwu (USA – Carlin), also a protagonist in the Italian series with Prema Racing, will be on track on the 1.944 metres Indy track of Brands Hatch to fight for the rookie title with Daniel Guinchard (GBR – Phinsys by Argenti).
In the Temple of Speed the record-breaking season is confirmed for the Italian F4 Championship that will see more than 40 Tatuus F4 T421, powered by the 180 hp Abarth T-Jet 1.4 engine, on the starting grid with drivers from 30 different nationalities representing all 5 continents. Intense programmes for both the British F4 and the Italian F4 Championship which, on Saturday, will face the qualifying sessions and race 1, at 3.10pm at Monza and at 4.25pm at Brands Hatch. Two races scheduled on Sunday both on the Kent and Brianza tracks with the British series sure to award the 2022 title and the Italian one that could do so with one race to go.
