Beacon Hospital announced as ICCR Livestream sponsor
As the new Irish Championship Circuit Racing (ICCR) season approaches, the series promoters are delighted to announce that Beacon Hospital will continue to back the championships’ Livestream in 2023 beginning with the opening event of the season on Sunday April 16th.
Operating from its centres in Dublin and Limerick, Beacon Hospital is Ireland’s most technologically advanced private hospital. Opened in 2006 the hospital is home to over 1,700 consultants, physicians, nurses, allied therapists and medical professionals, providing full service acute medical and surgical care across all areas. Beacon Hospital is an enthusiastic supporter of local and national sporting events and organisations, including Special Olympics Ireland’s Summer Games and now the ICCR, Ireland’s National Motor Racing Championship.
The ICCR series was set up at the start of 2021 to promote and develop Irish Circuit Racing and has already built up a strong following as it heads into its third year. The high profile series will continue to race mainly at Mondello Park during 2023, while adding a first overseas trip, to Anglesey in Wales. The five Mondello Park events, running between April and October, will each take place over two days with different classes racing on each day.
Beacon Hospital’s support will enable the ICCR organisers to continue to broadcast live from all of their 2023 Mondello Park events. The Championship will be available to watch live on five occasions during the year and access to the livestream will continue to be available free of charge to spectators. Coverage will include all of the Sunday races from each event and once the livestream is finished the entire programme will be available to watch back on the championships’ web site www.iccr.ie.
Speaking about Beacon Hospital’s continued support of ICCR, CEO Michael Cullen said “I am delighted that Beacon Hospital can support this incredible championship once again. Having been involved in racing most of my life, I know the joy and thrill it brings to both fans and participants. I am particularly delighted to see the increased focus on drivers health in recent years and the requirement for regular health checks, which is also a major part of our focus at Beacon Hospital”.
Roddy Greene, Managing Director of Mondello Park, the ICCR promoters, welcomed the backing of Beacon Hospital saying, “We are really happy to have Michael and the Beacon Hospital on board with us again for 2023. The Hospital’s support allowed us to bring the ICCR Livestream to fans during 2022 and will now enable us to expand and improve our coverage for this season. We are looking forward to working with Beacon Hospital again as we continue to develop ICCR and we are anticipating another great year of racing and livestream broadcasting with them as our partner”.
All of the Irish Championship Circuit Racing dates and information can be found on the series dedicated web site www.iccr.ie and on its social media channels.
