RAM 1500 stars at the Motocross of Nations 2023 at the champions’ parade
RAM joins the celebrations for the conclusion of the 2023 MXGP World Championship with a starring role. Over the weekend of October 7 and 8, the Ernee circuit – France hosted for the occasion the 76th annual Motocross of Nations: the iconic competition born in 1947 in which riders meet and parade representing their nations, facing each other on the race track in the biggest international off-road motorcycle event of the year. It was a day of celebration and tradition, under the sign of passion for motorcycle racing, which RAM documented entirely through content posted on @RAMTRUCKEUROPE.
Located a short distance west of Le Mans, Ernee has created its own motorsport folklore and a special place in the hearts of off-road motorcycle racing fans. The venue has been a semi-regular host of the French round of MXGP for decades but also staged rapturously received Motocross of Nations events in 2005 and 2015. Thus, for the third time, the event was held at the hard-packed, narrow and windy French track, recording incredible enthusiasm and participation: as many as 37 countries participated in the event, which collected the incredible number of 100,000 spectators in attendance over the weekend. Once more the crowds, colors and craziness descended on the circuit outside of the quaint and historic town to watch the best three riders selected from each country compete.
RAM took the spotlight during the event, participating through a special way that helped boost the joyful and collaborative atmosphere. Indeed, the American brand organized, at its paddock, a social activation aimed at involving all spectators and teams from all nations: on its stand, there was a RAM 1500 TRX Havoc Edition in a “disco” version. In fact, the special edition, a true Brand icon in terms of exclusivity and customization possibilities, hosted a DJ set in its large bed, complete with a speaker and entertainer. The RAM stand thus became an unmissable stop for the weekend’s attendees, with all the fans of the various teams passing by the model to share the party vibes.
In addition, the Motocross of Nations 2023 saw RAM playing a major role as early as Friday, Oct. 6, when the event’s inaugural parade was held starting at 4:30 pm. For the occasion, the American brand provided a fleet of RAM 1500s that carried the champions of all the nations: the teams paraded on the race track among the public, in a veritable triumph of color and joy, aboard the American Brand’s flagship model. Not surprisingly, it was the main vehicle of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teams during the season.
RAM’s dual sponsor role during the 2023 MXGP Championship
The 2023 season was marked by a double collaboration for RAM. The American brand, in fact, has been official partner of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teams for the second year in a row: a winning tradition, marked by two consecutive MX2 World Championship victories in 2022 and 2023.
At the same time, RAM has been an official partner of the MXGP Championship for the 2023 season, present on the racing circuits in all the championship’s stages with RAM vehicles strategically located on-site at the events, along the track and around the paddock; the brand has also been there at all the structural and media elements relating to the organization of each event. A special factor in terms of visibility was the restored MXGP and MX2 qualifiers on Saturday: the U.S. brand is their main sponsor, so much so they are known as the RAM Qualifying Races.
