McMullan set to re-ignite Irish Championship Challenge
Fresh off the back of another strong weekend in the BRSCC National Formula Ford Championship at Castle Combe just two weeks ago, Jonny McMullan returns to Mondello Park this weekend for rounds five and six of the All Ireland Formula Ford Championship.
Having missed the last two rounds at Bishopscourt in May, McMullan now faces stiff opposition from Bishopscourt race winner Sean Lillis. However this weekend also features the race for the newly established Vivion Daly Trophy. Introduced in 2014 and won by Robert Barrable, the race and trophy celebrates the life of one of Ireland’s most famous Formula Ford drivers. With Barrable returning to defend his crown this weekend amongst many other challengers, Jonny will be looking to carry the pace and form he’s shown throughout the UK series so far to continue his winning streak.
